EZ ride torsion spring modifications

Someone posted a photo of a modification to a rubber torsion spring seat using coil springs. I've searched for it and can't find it. Anyone know where to look. I've tried several different searches bu apparently not the right one.

I was thinking of the one that could be used on late SC's, DC's up through 800's, etc.

I recently modified my 800 and 900 seats with a Monroe air shock, but gave up the top link on the 800 with my setup, could easily modify it to keep the top link spot though.

Very nice, wish I had seen this before kludging together the air shock on the back of mine. It does leave the stock rubber in place so I can remove mine with a wrench and quick grind of a few tack welds. This is much more robust solution though. Thanks for posting here.

I guess this wouldn't have worked on the 100 series Deluxe-Ride seat setups, their isn't enough height under the seat frame for any shock setup, it has to be external. I've got some 30 series that will need some work though. I'd be curious if the air shock will fit in place of the coil over in this setup to allow for more weight control if needed.

i don't see any reason you couldnt use an airshock. i considered that but didnt want to add an air system to the tractor or need to air the seat up evertime i used it if the shock went bad. i wanted to try to Keep an original look and this was what i decided to use. i also considered adjustble shocks like used on atv's. the cost was large ad i didnt want to spend lot of money on experimenting.
