Look what I found

Look what I hauled home. It was a lot of work but its running and driving now. Tach doesnt work but it shows over 7000 hours.

The guy who sold it to me said it was his dads tractor. He had cows so he used it for hay and grain. He said its been sitting 15 years. Front tires are junk, rears are like new. I got it for $1200.

you did good, let me know if you figure out the tach ,. my 1070 neds a cable fix and was kinda orney when I got him for 1500, and it was barefoot ,. not a black knight either,,.. it is a very solid tractor now ..

12,000 capacity minus 4,000lbs trailer weight gives you 8,000lbs payload. A 1070 is about 10,500 dry, add some fuel and fluid and your lookin at 12-13,000lbs. So at best your 25% and as much as 75% over capacity and well into the danger zone.

Tag from trailer manufacturer says 12,000 gvw. Ive often wondered about the 6 bolt axles too. It hauled the 12,000lb white home too. It was a slow 60 miles trip. I might have hit 40mph in some long stretches.

Both 5,200 and 6,000 lb axles come with 6 bolt wheels most times. 6k axles can be ordered with 8 bolt wheels too. Are those 15" wheels?

Brad, this is what our Demonstrator looked like, in fact my uncle still has it. But can you imagine a 16yr kid getting to drive this cultivating sunflowers! Yes, we use the tractor for a while on the farm, for me to get use to it so I could take it out to customers for demoing. My Dad always had a plan!
