Neat Case 300 on OK Craigslist

I want it ,,. but will have to yield to others , J Garner, You Need this in College Station! .,.my sis is in Arlington Tx , Cousins in Burleson , but, I think , too far for me to trailer..

It looks like a really interesting dry-country 351 with the desirable wide front. It would make for a very interesting project at that price.

What are the chances of finding the missing sheet metal? I'm not too familiar with Case but always loved this style.

The center flip up hood portion is probably the easier to repair out of all the tinwork.

Joe is that indeed live PTO on the back? (not counting the ORC)

It's actually the earlier constant running pto design. The tractor is equipped with a hand clutch as well to improve it's utility, but unfortunately it is not an "independent" or live design.

It does look like there is an adaptor (maybe a 540 spline to 1000 spline) on the end of the pto shaft.

A couple of additional items that are missing on this tractor are the drawbar and the top link. Both are unique to the variants with 36" rear tires. They are both longer than those used on the tractors with 28" rear tires. The top link would be consistent on 36" rear tire models up through the 630. However, the drawbar would have only been used on the 351, 511B and 611B. The 30 series had a much heavier drawbar. So many of the earlier drawbars were broken, it's hard to find an original condition example, and can be challenging to find one in any condition.

(quoted from post at 12:20:08 02/09/16) Thank you for the information Joe.

No problem...glad I could be some help. I did mis-speak in the earlier post... The 302, 312, 302B and 312Bs had the same drawbar as well which would add another 500 tractors to the potential donor group. It's still a small supply but they can be found.... I eventually found one for my 312.

Curious - Is the sheet metal the same as the 300s etc ? Or is the 164 a different length, making for longer hood and side panels Etc> ?

The engine's are same length, and the tin is all the same between the 300 and 350 (except for the diesels and LPs)

Drooled for too long - decided I wanted it (frivolous decision) Called . Too late he had a deposit - its going to be picked up this weekend. You snooze you loose. I think e might have some eagle hitch stuff if he knew what it was. There were several tractors parked on a fenceline of an old abandoned farm.It is going to be developed so he is earing it out.
