1070 engine into 1030

With scrap being so low we decided to engine swap a good 1070 engine into an old 1030 with a bad engine. Upon further inspection some major issues have surfaced. First, the 1030 block has a hole through the block for the steering shaft to pass through, the 1070 engine doesn't. Even more challenging is the fact that the injector pumps are on opposite sides of the block, so none of the throttle linkage matches up.

If we don't figure it out, I have a complete 1070 engine and an incomplete 1030 looking for new homes.

I think with enough brain storming those issues can be worked out. The other boards have many instances of tractors being repowered with throttle linkage changes, fuel delivery reroutes, and so forth. Maybe some other project posted on YT might suggest an answer.

Can you switch the steering to hydro-static, You will need a priority valve and a hydro steering out of a donor .Think you need about 4-5 gal per min flow. Your 1030 should have a 12 gal pump. May not be possible ,just musing .

mark the casting and drill a hole in the new block, you will have to fab the fuel linkage to the other side. Many people have made this swap.
dont give up so ez.

A guy in my area has put hydrostatic steering on a couple of 830ck's. The old steering assist unit is removed and a cylinder is mounted on the front end. The control valve is mounted about where the engine and clutch housing mate. He says they steer like a million bucks. Which would be $999,999 better than a 1030 did.

Some inspiration for you.

Sorry, couldn't say. I only took the picture for eye candy. Don't have any other pics. Looks like a 504 though instead of the 451. Just wanted to show that anything is possible. Maybe someone else here will recognize it and chime in.
