Hi, i have a 3394 that i am having tranny issues with. i did some test. i did set the stand by pressure for the piston pump, hooked everything back up and now have low pressure reading on the main line going to the flow divider. we hooked up to do the flow test for the piston pump. had the required 350 psi, for about 20 seconds and lost it. took the compensator valve apart and cleaned out. nothing found wrong. installed and tried again. same result. no pressure. wondering if there any ideas for other test or if the pump just needs to get rebuilt.

Not trying to steal your post, hope you get an answer, I have a hard steering low pressure issue on a 4690. It has a flow divider and compensator valve also. No one seems to know where to look for the problem on the tractor.....transmission and hydraulics work great. Hope we both get answers.

if your pump setup is similar to the 3394. the steering uses the gear pump mounted on the piston pump. different hydraulic systems.

Yes, it has a separate pump for the steering and volume seems to be up to spec. Low pressure at the steering cylinders (1200#) is the problem and where it is bypassing to. Cylinders have been rebuilt. I'll have to find a schematic of the system to track it down. Young techs here haven't been around this system as it is 35 years old.
