Gents,
I am repairing a eagle arm on a 530. I need the measurement between or to the center of the arms, I am replacing the broken bushing on one and cannot find what I believe to be the right distance. Also the distance from the hook to the floor left down.

Thank you Christopher, That's what I needed, I don't know if there is a minimum for height above floor, I am working on one that the links have been chopped up and I am slowly bringing it back, went to a spring shop and got a piece of spring shackle bolt with 6" of thread for the adjustable link and welded the yoke to it. looks and works good.

mEl, here is what I have on that style Eagle Hitch, this is from a 500B/600B ops but it should apply to the 530 as well

As I said before this hitch had been cut up and welded and both my vertical links were straight, without the angles that are pictured and there is enough slop in the lower pins that it all is ok that way, but I will replace the lower ends of the draft arms and if the links need tweaked for proper alignment I can do that easily on the press.

When I got it the screw was welded fast to the vertical link on the adjuster side, I cut about 1/4 inch off the adjuster sleeve and was able to weld a washer and a nut to it and remove about 4" of threads, the threads seem perfectly acceptable in the adjuster gear so I went to the local shop that does truck spring work and got a piece of shackle stock with a 6" thread and made a new link, all seems well with the adjuster now. Never ceases how people can cobble, seems like it would be easier to do it right!

Maybe the new bushings on the bottom will show me why the links need tweaked when the arms are set to the 28" distance.
