Been a busy winter. Have not spent much time in the shop working on tractors. I finally started today. Got my SO out and got it running. Had to advance the timing and adjust the carb. Next Thursday and friday I will be pulling my trailer hauling kids out to a tree planting project on County land close by. This is an annual event, usually in pouring rain. There is 600-700 kids show up on thur and friday to plant 3-4000 pine trees. I have two 51 VAC's I picked up. A single wheel and a dual narrow front. I planned to restore the single wheel for shows and use the narrow front for parts.Have not started the single front but I got the narrow running today. It actually runs really good. I removed the carb tonight to soak it so I can rebuild it. Not sure now if I want to part it out?? Dick

Hello Dick, Glad the VAC runs good. Received two carb. kits from John Saeli last week. Hope to get the DC and VAC running this week. Started painting the 36 JD. AO last week. Steve
 
The AO should look great. I just ordered another carb kit and dist parts for the VAC from John tonight.
It ran good but the carb really needed gone thru. I have it soaking in carb cleaner. The points are bad and I figured I might as well do the cap & condenser.
Planned on using that tractor for parts. Tough decission. Dick
