Will we got the vac out this morning and it ran good .... after awhile it just stop running .. wait a little bit and it started right up ... go a ways and it stop running ... wait and it started up ....
I did put a carb. kit in it ... Is seem to me it is running out of gas ... Can someone explain to me about where should the power screw should be { at least That would be a start } there is only 2 screws to adjust ?? Right
I clean the air breather and when the breather was off , I put my hand over the carb. intake it was good ... { it is on now }
So i'm thinking it has to be Carb. adjustments ..... What do you think my problem might be ????

Any advice will be greatly appreciated .... mark

Mark, the bigger adjusting screw is the main jet, start at 2 1/2 turns out form being bottom seated, I assume it does not stay running if you choke it? But first lets make sure you have good fuel flow, take the plug out of the bottom of the carb, let it run with the fuel valve fully open, it should run a steady stream that fills the drain hole, let us know what you find

I had a similar issue with my 440. I would head up the road to the farm and it would start coughing and quit by the same power pole time after time. My son and I pulled the carb off multiple times with no problems found. On a whim, I dug around in a coffee can that I had misc. parts in. I was looking for another coil. Didn't have one, but I found a used set of points and a condenser. The points were crap, but I decided to change out the condenser. The 440 has never bothered since. Sometimes the simple things get you.
Just another sugestion to add to the mix.

I have put 3 condensers on my VAC-14 in less than 3 hours run time. It was doing the same thing.I suspect it's the coil so I put another coil on it as it felt like something was loose inside. Oddly it was not getting hot. So far so good. Nick
