Monday my son and I hopped into his Jeep Wrangler and headed to John and Chris Saeli's They had gotten in all the parts that I ordered. It took us about 2hrs. and 40mins. to get there on the seanic route, US Rt. 20. We came home on I 90. Saved 20 mins. Had a great time visiting with John and Chris and looking at all the Case tractors that John has. Lots of them. Chris fixed us up with a great noon meal, and we got back to my house just before 5:00pm. My son and I had a great time. Thanks John and Chris for your hospitality.
I don't know where the week has gone. I have been installing some lights and tidying up the wireing in the cab of my 440. The charging system had also stoped properly charging, so while I was at John's I picked up a new VR. It took care of the charging problem. Around here the parts stores want crazy prices for VRs. I could buy an alternator for less than what they wanted for a new VR, but I would loose my tach drive if I went that route. The 440 is all serviced, all the lights working, engine side panals on and ready for the maple syrup season. It's going out the door today, so I can concentrate on the 931 again. I have been looking for cab upolstry kits and seat cuishions for the 931. Need to get some details of that stuff nailed down today hopefully. Monday I will be takeing the heads from my other 930 6spd to the machine shop for a checkup and touch up of the valves to use on the 931. When the heads come back from there we will start reassembling the engine. In the meantime I have a new seal kit for the remote valve body, and have to rebuild the PTO and reinstall that.
