Bought the 1175

Started instantly, gauges good, very little blowby or smoke, everything works except the brakes, he said they leaked at the slave cylinder and he just got used to not using them. I intend to fix it... Has small drip coming out of the top of the steering column. Transmission was was smooth and quiet, shifters are worn out... Got it to make the noise the guy was talking about, did NOT sound like bad gears, sounded like something rubbing, maybe what you described, Loren. Happens in both high 1 and 2. So I felt good about it and left with it. Has some rust spots. First big Case I had been around, was impressed with how quiet and smooth it ran, sounds like its barely humming at rpm... -Like it quite alot actually. So will be going through it in my spare time and pumping you guys for info. Thanks, -Matt.

Good for you! I hope you get a lot of trouble free use out of it. We really like our 1175, it is our main tillage tractor. Don

1175 has disc brakes like the 7-8-9--1070. I have a 1170 that has disc brakes. Case-IH wants $450 a side for the brake pads. Found a place that can make them for me for $50 a side.

Just made a batch of pads...made the rotors too....ph 507 433 0073
