1070 3 point problems

Hey all, new to the forums seems like some great info so here goes...

Neighbor bought a old 1070 powershift for too much and wants to fix it up. seems everything is working except the three point won't hold a load up without having the engine sped up some. also quite slow to lift. The sensing lever in the cab does not move, and to me it seems like the 3 point lever doesn't move back as far as it should. Power shift works well in all ranges and pressures in the green in all ranges.

I changed the filters first off and it was missing the relief valve in the back filter. I got a used one from a local yard but I have no idea how long it was run without the valve in the filter.

We put on a different pump, and also replaced the o rings on the three point cylinder with no change. Which was not very fun by the way. trying to avoid having to pull the cab off again any help would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance!

Have you taken the 3pt control valve off
and cleaned it. That's the first place to
start with one. You can get to it by
removing the seat and going thru the floor
opening in the cab.

Yep just had that off and cleaned it up. Did find a broken spring in there. #20 on the diagram. Too late to get tonight . I'll repost when I get it replaced and reinstalled.

OK got the spring replaced and problem persists. Had to get spring on ebay searched by part number and came in sealed case wrapping so confident it's the right spring.

Hooked gauge to remotes today. One remote only has a few hundred pounds of pressure... top right on right side of tractor. Also when I move that remote the three point drops like a stone.

Is it in the remote valve body now? Plugged up or a relief valve stuck open?

How a both the diverted valve next to the filters anything in there I should be concerned with?

Thanks

Lifted cab pulled remote valve apart. Found bad guide in the right side. Replaced seat and guide and now I have 2100 lbs on all the remotes. However when you release the lever the pressure drops to zero. Is that normal or should it be holding th pressure?

Also noticed the inching pedal seems to be bypassing somewhere slightly. If I lift on the pedal it stops. When it's not leaking past the three point will at least stay up but still very slowly unless I bump the rpms up.

Anybody around that can give me some insight I'd greatly appreciate it. If is in the powershift clutches I think it will go outside till some other time.
