SC to RC Starter - Carb

If I remember the bolt spacing on the sc carb is wider, if memory serves me right I used an sc bottom half with the top half from a Wisconsin ve4 on my 36 rc, I then brazed a piece of pipe cut at the right angle to the carb to adapt to the air pipe, that was almost 30 years ago

i have always heard that an SC starter will fit on an RC, Did your RC come with a starter? If not there is a good chance that there is no ring
rear.

The starter will work, but the set bolt hole on the starter is not in the correct spot [ no biggy]. Hope you have a ring gear, on the flywheel...as they are gold. The carb should work as well.

just a rough measurement in the dark with a poor flashlight indicates the bolt centers are around .300 closer on an R series, don't know if one could oval the holes in the manifold but you might have some flange overhang and that wouldn't look right, the original carb had an angled neck for the air pipe whereas the s series is straight, I do appreciate the thanks, it's not the usual treatment one gets on here!
