Case 870 Fender Question

Have not found many fenders like these. Need info on these. Bought tractor from original owner in this mint condition. 1971 model 870. Don't believe these are western style. Most fenders we have seen are not that long in the front (the other tractors we have seen do not have fenders that go all the way to the platform).

there were three fender styles, the std narrow ones, the wider and longer style like you have and the western or wide fenders, yours seems to be the most rare style but I have seen them on tractors in New Zeeland also so they made a few of them for sure

The parts books for 770/870's show either 12 in. or 15 in. fenders. It sounds like you have the 15 in. fenders, not real common but there are a few around. The larger tractors 970/1070 offered a12 in. or western 24 in. fenders. The 24 in. was not available on a 870. That is all info from Case parts books. Paul

Thanks for the insight! I'm finally able to upload a picture (new user, so wasn't able to until now). So hopefully the picture will help some as well, if I can figure out how to upload it properly. Thanks for the info!
