I'm working on a 2290 for a neighbor that broke a cable connected to the rockershaft that suppose to keep the hitch from going to high. It pushed the piston thru the PTO housing. I have replaced the piston and cable and got it back together. I have adjusted the cable according to the specs that I got from my dealer where I got the cable, so I got slack at the top. Hitch is all way up and don't want to go back down. The draft shaft adjustments that the hitch arms fastens to has got slack also.
I am not familiar with Case tractors, so I am wondering if I have problems somewhere else that caused this problem to start with. I expected the new O-rings to be tight but not like this. Any help would be greatly appreiciated.
