flambeau paint

I have not used their paint.
I use Vansickle paint. You can buy it direct. I get it from our local Farm Supply store in Oregon.
Good paint is not cheap.

I never considered vansickle to be very good paint. a better paint on a budget is the PPG industrial coatings, not much more $ and much better paint
 
After going to all the work of cleaning old grease oils and paint off of a tractor, I did not want a paint that faded out and started to oxidize after a couple three years. I bit the bullet and used PPG's OMNI brand. The catch is, this paint requires hardener, and any paint with hardener requires a supplied air systems to spray it. This paint is also very expensive. But your tractor will look as good in five years as it did the day you painted it. The number I used for flambeau red is MTK 71282B. The desert sand number is MTK 24029. I thought it was just toooo much work to get a tractor ready for paint then use old technology paint. Good luck with your project. I can't post pictures or I would. gobble
 
Caseydog: If you search the archives under "2013 WHO tractor ride" Pastor John posted a picture of my tractor there. The heir to the tractor is my granddaughter sitting beside me. She helped me put the tractor back together after paint. BTW that paint job is approx. 6 years old in that pic. Power washed for the ride, no wax. I use it to cut rake and bale hay every summer, so it is no parade queen. I do park itin the shed when not being used, most of the time. gobble
 
I get PPG from Auto Body Specialties in the Dakota's. The industrial line is called Commercial Performance Coatings ALK-200, Their Shopline urethane is more money but sprays nice, looks good and holds up well the PPG number for flambeau red is 71282. I stay away from the farm store paints as they fade easily unless shedded all of the time.
