311b 3pt hitch

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Time for me to turn my attention to my present: 1959 Case 311-B-H according to the ID plate.

She runs great but has one serious problem. Most of the 3pt is missing. It is an Eagle lift, but I get the feeling it never had lift arms or a top link. It seems as though the system was designed to control something under the belly. Perhaps the grader option or other unknown things. What I have does not look like any of the photos from any of the threads.

I can fabricate parts, so this doesn't bother me too much, but I want to make sure that it is designed properly and doesn't stress the axle as a pressure point.

Could anyone post a picture showing how the brackets attach to the axle which hold the lift arms? Also need to see the bracket that holds the top link in place. All of these parts are missing and will need to be fabricated from scratch. If I ordered the parts book, would I get a good schematic?

Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

Not the greatest pictures. I can get more if others dont post any.

There are 4 bolts that pass thrust the axles where the lift arms attach. What I am hoping to see is a closeup of how the brackets and those 4 bolts go together. I am currently working on removing the brackets that are there which look nothing like the pics in general to fab out the parts needed.

Do the factory brackets bolt on? Is it 2 bolts per side or a plate with all 4 thru? I really need a closeup or good written description to build this properly.

The first 3 pics are the Eagle hitch. Each one of the four draft arm bracket is treaded for two 5/8" x 7" bolts that pass through from the front of the axle. The top link brackets are bolted to the aft end of the Eagle hitch rock shaft cover.

The fourth pic is the optional swinging draft arm hitch. I don't any experience with it.

Also go to the link, enter 300B in the model search box. Hitch info as above dwgs is in CHASSIS group.

conner9988,
In the last picture it shows a D-ring mounted below the axel housing. What is that for?

It is a D ring for lashing the tractor down on a trailer
deck. There is one on each axle side and will be
some more at the front of the tractor before I am
done. They will help when transporting the tractor.
They are heavy duty d rings welded to heavy angle
iron.

Thank you for the link and schematics. With part numbers in hand, I have ordered the 2 top link brackets from Wengers and know how I want to build the lower brackets. Your help was amazing and I thank you for taking time out of your day to help a stranger with a project.

Connor,

Those are the closeups and angles that I needed to answer the questions I had. I have removed the homemade get-ups that were busted and non functional and will get to work making the parts I need. I have 19 acres of grass to cut. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help out a stranger.

Btw, I picked up this running 311b for $1000. I was super happy. Think I did ok?

Jeff

Here are pictures of my home made arms - they allow me to hook to any 3pt. equipment no problem w/ width. The holesf for the pins are drilled different on each side making almost any width adjustment easy, with no stay chains. I been using them since 1995 or so.
