Hope everyones having a great Christmas season. I have a question is there a Difference in the Outside Diameter of the LOWER section of the 3 1/2 and the 3 5/8 sleeve? NOTE: the area in question is the lower section you see in the picture with striations. This is a 3 5/8 sleeve Outside Diameter is 3.875.
Thanks Byron

Can't give you dimensions, but if the 3-5/8" Sleeve came out of a 5600A Block, prior to Ser. # 8027115, it will fit. After that serial number, 6265A Block, the 3-5/8" Sleeves will not fit. 3-5/8" Sleeves for the 5600A Block are still available.

That sleeve came from an engine with the O-rings in the block. Therefore, it came from an engine with a 5600A block before #8027115. Thus, a readily available 3 5/8" overbore sleeve will fit. The problem is with finding the newer style (O-rings in the sleeve) sleeve and piston sets, because the newer ones had much lower production numbers (too low for aftermarket producers to make them in volume).

What I'm looking for is to see if the 3 5/8 and the 3 1/2 should be an interference fit in the engine block. I'd like to be able to fit the sleeves in the block but because it's an interference fit I'd have to drive them in and pull them back out. Just asking if the block can be a slip fit. Right now the tractor has 3 5/8 sleeves and was wondering if the 3 1/2 sleeves had a clearance fit in The lower end of the block where the o ring is. I have a 5600 A block. Thanks, Byron

I'm somewhat confused, but bottom line is, with everything clean & free of rust, carbon , or anything, and without the O Ring installed, both the 3-5/8" & 3-1/2" Sleeve will fall in to place & lift back out.

Sorry for the confusion guys my daughter wrote the question for me and it is confusing, However thats what I was looking for John Im trying to fit the sleeves protrusion in the block and as you can see from the pic the sleeve itself with no Oring installed (1 single Oring in this case) will not slide in readily without forcing it. Regardless of the fact that the area looked clean I will give it a closer inspection today and the Necessary clearance. Thanks for all the help guys and Merry Christmas to all!

Thank you Christopher, I Thank goodness I dont have to deal with the dual oringed sleeves! Mine is a 5600000 serial number Id love to be Installing new sleeves and pistons. I just hate to pull it all apart just to extend the life for another year or two, but its diffucult to come up with that much money all at one time. As always
Thanks and Merry Christmas Byron

I don't know what you are trying to do but the single o-ring sleeves interchange and 3 1/2 inch sleeves can be bored to 3 5/8 if they aren't pitted deeply on the outside
