any idea's how many VAC-14's do you thin were ordered with a narrow front in place of the wide front end? Just heading out to purchase one to go along with my other that I have. Seems to be a complete opposite with vertical exhaust and tall air breather and narrow front were my current was low exhaust low air breather.

I have been told they made 750 tricycle VAC-14's. Case called them Dual fronts. I have not seen proof of this number, but believe it is close. Nick

Several years ago I had a VAC with tricycle front end(original) . It was a great tractor. Although it didn't have the eagle hitch I added it along with an oil pump which it had been fitted for. The final drives really made that a good machine and it would outpull my 9N Ford. After an engine and brake over haul it was perfect. Looking back now I regret selling it. I sold it.

According to my info, the VAC14 was only made in 53 and 54. Those were the low profile tractors with adjustable wide front ends only. Case was trying to compete with the Ford 8N's at this time.

Starting in 1951 and going through 1953, with the addition of the universal joint steering system and wide dash, the model designations were as follows; VAC-11 (single front wheel), VAC-12 (dual front wheels), and VAC-13 (adjustable wide front axle).

If the one you are looking to buy has the vert exhause, tall air intake stack, dual front wheels, I would think it would be a VAC-12. If it has a wide front end, than VAC-13.

If you get a chance, check the serial numbers on both tractors and the letter designations ahead of the serial numbers and post them. You got my curiosity up now.

Thanks.

Jim.
