Anyone know where one can be had? Is it a Large bowl marvel unit? If it is I need to find just a venturi.

Thanks for the help

It is a large Zenith carb. Very hard to find I will look and see if I can find Zenith number and Case number. Will report back later.

a friend of mine has a 930ck, I could
probably copy the venturi from his if
can't find one..i made a few for my
farmall M a couple yrs ago, just to see if
bigger or smaller would help low end
torque for pulling.

Tim,

Are you still struggling with carbs? I would have someone measure the venturi size before I bought a carb! The venturi will not fit and would have to be bigger than you had from me.

My son and I used your size body carb on 470 cubes at fast rpms without issue!

What issue are you having????

mEL, it's sluggish and doesn't respond to well to throttle movement while under load. It just won't hold RPM like it used to. One peculiar item is that she will ice the entire intake manifold from carb neck to heads.

Tim,

The icing is caused by the temperature drop from the idle air rushing past the tip of the throttle plate much the same as a tire valve chilling when the air rushes out of it. I do not see how a different carb will be any different as the same air flow will be required to make it idle the same, I do not know what your issue is but I have a 4.625X 5.250-350 CID 730 engine that works perfectly with the Marvel carb with the venturi that you seen. Even with a 1.060 venturi it should be very well suited for moderate RPM. What is your timing?

Try another carb and se what that does for you and let me know,

This is the one I sent to your acquaintance west of you, to be redone. I also made the gasket and jet changes you advised.

I've seen carbs ice the intake before but all the way to the head.

Is there enough ID difference between an 700 LP manifold and an 830 gas manifold to be the problem? I'll text you after while.

Good day to everyone. I have found a Carb from a 970. It has the anti dieseling solenoid, so I'm thinking this comes out and can be replaced with a load mixture screw. Does the jet that the solenoid plunger mated to come out and get replaced with a different one.

If so any one know a source?

Thanks
