Grader blade

Hey guys, I have found a 6 ft grader blade for my VAC. My question is that too much blade for that tractor? I don't want to buy something that I cant move anything with. It is a Case blade and still has the big adjustment arm on it. I haven't had too much experience around this type of thing so I am not sure on how much is too much to pull. Thanks in advance. Felix

Thats a good find Felix. It all depends on what your trying to do with it. Just like any other implement, the deeper you set it
the harder it pulls. Your VAC will handle it just fine if you use it as a grader blade not a bulldozer. Also, like any other
implement, the better your cutting edge the better it will perform if your trying to cut with it.

a 6' is perfect for a VA series, I use both sizes on my VA, the 8' when the snow gets deep is a bit much but works fine grading roads and dirt work, but sure makes quick work cleaning the bike path in light snows, I get by fine with 6" of wet snow

Thanks for the replies! Seems like I saw on here a few weeks ago this topic coming up but couldn't find it. Thanks again.

You must be from my area of southern Indiana. I have seen the same blade. Would like to have a case blade for my 400. 6 foot just isn't wide enough. Hope you can pick it up. Should be nice behind your tractor.
