I am trying to remember where this part goes on my 300 round nose.
Thank you for the assistance.

I can't help you with this either. Hang it in a place where you'll see it every day. You might find a place for it some day.

Im thinking it is a homemade piece for mounting the coil.
My next question then is: what is the correct mounting bracket for the coil and where does it mount?

Would it be a bracket to hold a hydraulic line?

Looks to me to be a bracket to hold a hyd. cylinder when the cylinder is not mounted is not mounted on a implement. Is the diamiter of the slot the same as the hydraulic cylinder mounting holes? Armand

It is the rear most bracket to hold the rear of the underneth muffler. The slot goes under one of the bolts that hold the axel housing to the transmission case. The other two holes is where the muffler clamp u shaped bolts go through, supporting the muffler. I have photos but not on this tablet. Will look more in the morning for you.

Tried to post a photo, but my images is too large to attach,
Glad you found it in the parts book, actually the only way to have the exhaust on a 300.
That way one does not have to cut a slot for the vertical exhaust in the left hand side door.
I seem to think that the rear exhaust muffler is still available from Nelson Muffler.
Good luck on your project. I have a few 300 RN.
