A 2590 coming up at consignment sale tomorrow

Hey all,

I appreciate all the good advice I was give on the 2670 a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, it sold before I had a chance to go look at it.

So now I see there's a 2590 coming up on a consignment sale tomorrow. Pic shows a pretty decent looking tractor. I'm hoping to place a few bids on it. Any ideas on what I should go to? Think $6K would buy it? Any weak points I should check out on it?

It would have to be in pretty bad shape to go for 6,000.Should bring anywhere from 7,500 to 21,000. Depends a lot if the owner is there to represent it and the care its had. Good luck hope you can get it bought. Lots of ponies under the hood.

Any things I should look really hard at before I bid?

How do these start in the winter? Can't be worse than my 4430, I hope....

Just plug the block heater in, will fire right up.

That's what I do with my 4430. I need to start plugging it in around 40 degrees. It'll start colder, but it doesn't want to.

They start really good down to 20 degrees. Any colder then that and it's just easier on the motor to plug it in.Shift the power shift up and down slowly by hand only and listen to the motor. Motor should not labor much while shifting. Talk to previous owner if at all possible.

Still not a Case owner. It brought 8250. Found out at the sale it had been bought 4 days earlier at a farm sale for $6K....if one can believe stories by members of the crowd at consignment sales.
