I have wanted a "1170" for sometime, I drove a "Black Knight" when it was new, and the need is still there to have one. Your a lucky man, but do something for me,,,,, get the right muffler for it if this is your tractor.

That's a sharp looking 1170.
I'm with you Dan, I've always wanted one too. I'd like an open station sand colored one with the big western fenders and big tires if you please. Christmas is coming. Maybe you could put in a word for me with Santa?

Here's a picture my office today and a couple of views out the dirty windows.

Thanks, but some of it belongs to the
banker but I do get to run it. Ha Ha.
I didn't mean to take over your post.
In fact, I try not to post modern stuff
on here very much since this forum is
about the older stuff but I was just
thinking the same thoughts you were
about it being my office for the day so
thought I would add it.

When it comes to 1170s and 1175s, I
tried to sort out one time what all the
differences were but found it a bit
confusing. My reference material was
contradictory so I'll have to look at a
few up close and personal someday.

Thanks Rod really like your picture post and all you mechanical advice. Wish I was closer would love for you to look at the steering on it for me.

We sold one nearly like that one only with 20.8s on the rear. We transfered it, and picked it up from from CW Waltz Eqi. in Cougan Station, PA, where Mel spent much of his lifetime repairing Case tractors and equipment.

I would also look for a precleaner stack, its odd the dealer that had this didn't put it on, you would have a precleaner bowl for the dust, saves on the filters. They should be around.

Sure doing a nice job on the corn stalks Brad. Yea a Knight would be nice to have. Our "1070" Knight is still at my uncles, and still doing what it was bought for.

Ok Ande, I think I'll get a new muffler and curved extension and weld the extension on the outlet of the muffler then send the whole thing in and get it Ceramic Chrome-x coated.
