Finishing up a full rebuild on 68' Case 680CK with 267 diesel engine. Heads and timing cover are ready to go on except I want to time the fuel if possible before doing this. I have the specs so thinking I just set up my dial indicator on # 1 and then line up all the dots on the gears. This should be close to TDC? Verify TDC and then work back to the BTC spec making sure the fuel pump marks line up. Does this sound correct?
