is it necessary to drain re. oil to work on brakes? I started to take bolts out of brake cover and oil started coming out.

also wandering which plugs are correct for that tractor?

The two on the bottom are wet. save them for last after the rod and the top bolts off or disconnected and the housing is ready to remove take out the bottom two remove the brake housing and put the studs back in. I believe all four are studs with nut on them but they always seem to come out like bolts. You could drain the tranny clean the holes and studs, remove the nuts and locktite the studs in and be good for the next time.
