Took the round baler off the 970, flipped around the PTO shaft for 1000RPM usage and hooked on a bale processor.
Turns on and works just fine but after you shut it off it slows right down but keeps turning slowly.
Still slowly turning five minutes later.
Never did this with the baler hooked up at 540 RPM.
If I shut down the engine and restart it everything stays at rest.
If it didn't do this on 540 rpm with the baler I am thinking maybe it is because there is more resistance to overcome to keep a baler turning. Baler comes to a stop as soon as PTO is shut off.
What am I looking at to fix this and likley how long will it survive running like this.
If tractor is shut down and PTO is shut off when the tractor is restarted the shaft does not turn even when nothing is connected to it.
