Ran the grinder today.

Got my dc running so I hooked it to the mill for a test run. Everything works as it should and runs smooth. Now I just need to find someone that needs some feed ground.

Everything seems to run pretty smooth on that machine. Are the corners on the hammers sharp? If they are rounded it will take more power to grind any grain. The DC probably wouldn't be able to handle it. With sharp hammers the DC could grind if you feed it slow enough. Now you need to get some livestock so you will have a reason to grind feed.

That sure brings back a lot of memories. I ground many ton of feed with our DC. We had Gehl grinder. When my grandfather was around he had cattle, hogs, and chickens so it was used several times a week

This one was on Craigslist, but I missed getting it by about 5 minutes. The guy that bought it also posts on fb and was talking about it and I said I really wanted one and been looking for years. He said he just wanted one to use, so I made a deal and traded him another brand for it.

That sure brings back memories.

I ground feed with a DC and my case grinder mixer for years. Mine was in bad shape when I bought it but I made it work for years.

How many screens did you get with it?

We got to grinding hay with ours. You can only add hay in small amounts but a Case grinder turned it into meal form.

Like I said you brought back memories!
