lucky you ,, luv to find one myself ,, although that case engineered unloadin auger loox problemtic .. golly looox like everything is reversed when you compare artsway and farmhand and nh brands ,,. no patent infringement claim here

It does have a lot of parts, and a butt load of grease zerks too. Went over it tonight and will run it tomorrow. It apears to be very well made tho with gear boxes where nh, gehl, and artsway used open gears. This machine will run a lot more loads through it than those others in the gear drive versions.

Jon,
Glad that first pic wasn't after we talked on the phone---HeHe. Looks as good as you described. Maybe when you get the picker on your 400 out in the field for harvest you can grind some corn for Jeff.

that's very good about enclosed gears and grease zerks ,, gotta tell ya , I have never seen a case feed grinder other than pix,, hope my comment did not cause offense ,,I had 2 gehl feed grinders and you could not make me trade back to that brand ever, I learned how to cuz simply by attempting to change screens ,and keepin the screen in its proper place to keep the hammers from bangin the heck out of them was a problem for both grinders I had, dad bought me a brand new massey ferguson grinder mixer in 1971.. Each yr , we fed 450 head of hogs for over 20 yrs ,my brother still has it , Its like artsway and I like their style best because it has s easy access to the tank to poke at stiking feed , rather then poking thru top hatch //,. NEVER LEAVE FEED IN THE TANK , is a good rule to follw, but not always practical here on my farm,.. it would be nice if all grinders had a easily removeable round access hole for clean out,,. but that's just me ,.. lol

Guess I got you beat since gps shows 108 miles. Lol pulled good at 55 mph all the way. 30+ mph head wind really gave my v-10 a workout tho.

No offense was taken. This one is not easy to change the screens on either. I'm anxious to get a tractor hooked to it tomorrow. Couldn't get my dc to fire up today or I would have had it running today.

the farmhand /n Holland style makes changing screens like setting a baby in a cradle,, and it worx everytime , having that on a artsway grfinder would make artsway a PERFECT feed grinder IMO... , hate to say this, but the Case mirrors how gehl built their mill , sure hope not , but, if I had brand new screens for our gehl bak in the day ,, it maybe woulda workt better,. we used to coarse grind ear corn for cows than switch back to fine screen grind for hog feed .my brother and I would beat on them and form them , just so so ,set it in , and try it fire up Pops 51 DC start grindin again and before long the durn screen would slip and go to striking again ,, cuz-cuz-cuz!! ..btw . whats wrong with the DC?

No idea yet, won't fire. Has spark at the points and good gas to the carb, bit it doesn't seem to be getting gas. Might have a plugged jet or something.

had a similar problem with my ft clutch DC, some 3 yrs back , it would fire on ether ,and have a hek of good flow drainin gas from carb , as long as I poured gas in air breather it would run until starved out ,, I put my hand over breather to choke thru and the motor was running as slow as 150 rpms , amazed me,,. but it could not get gas,,took carb apart and blowed out EVERTHING and examined in good lite all ports ,, found a hole completely rusted shut,,,oddly this problem had been slowly developing, THe DC wouldgo to starving gor gas ,, and then seem to get over it ,, but would act up when the load got heavy,.. finaly worsend to the point I could not use it much more than getting a load of wood ... put up with that for serveral monthes before I fixt it ..

I owned one for years and loved. You can cut a piece of inner tube from a truck tire and put over the end. It will help keep the rain out and help direct feed as you unload

We had one of these, it wasn't the best piece of equipment to bear the Case name. The holes for the mixing auger drive in the bottom of the tank did not line up, so someone at the factory used a torch to make it fit. Of course this showedup after the warranty was off. Dad got sick of this and traded it on a NH.

Great find Jon, when you come out you can look mine over,,, they were made for CASE by HELIX,, the one I have is the only one we sold as a dealer
