Removeing valve guides case sc

Is it really a big deal to remove and install valve guides, I'm hoping to save some money doing this part myself. I have installed and removed hundreds of long repair bushings
in aluminum and steel structures on aircraft. Never anything on cast iron. I always used a 5X rivet gun or pressed them out. Any help and guidance would be welcome. I don't have a lot of money so if I can save 80 dollars on the removal and install
of valve guides that's a lot to me.
Thanks Byron

quite easy to remove, just use an air chizel(punch) and just put pressure on them while the gun is hammering on them and they
just slide out. otherwise just hammer them out, with punch and hammer.can use press too. i think you have the idea.
just press or pound new ones in. make sure you get correct height. go by old ones. this is the easiest job on the head. seats
take more care.

I used a 20 ton shop press to take mine out
and put mine in. I did have the shop ream
them to size. Only took about 45 minutes.
Boy was I surprised at how well some were
in there. Some really popped when they let
go. Hardest part was holding the head on
the press while I worked the jack. Second
set of hands helped.

Thanks as always Guys , I have noted the height on the guides.
Ill let you know how it goes.
Thanks again Byron
