BER 3/14 was the most common here in central MN. I don't have a pic on the computer, but if no one posts one I'll scan a piece of sales lit. Easier at the moment they digging mine out a shed for a photo shoot

2-14" BER plow. Would have been used on SC and DC with eagle hitch.

Thanks, A picture of a 3-14 plow add, would be great. I can make the DC HP enough to handle it in Illinois. Earl

(quoted from post at 02:43:29 09/24/15) What mounted plow was used with the DC eagle hitch ?

Here is the 3-14 BER plow that was bought new with my 400 diesel. It is all a 400 needs on my farm.

Here is a 2-16 BER that was bought new with my 52 SC. In my clay it would be perfect for my DC's.

I can pull a 3-14 with my 54' SC in first or second depending on the soil. The tractor has a stock 3 5/8" bore, and still has the original cast iron pistons in new bores (dry sleeved). I couldn't get it on the dyno at the big tractor show this year because of my schedule, but I expect that it would put out 30-32 hp from the PTO. It is almost maxed out, but an early DC puts out 34 hp, and a late one should put out between 36 and 40 hp in good condition, and in stock-ish configuration. Wheel weights are a must in any case. A 400 is a good match to almost any load, 2-14 through 4-16 (if soil permits), since it is a diesel. You will get good fuel economy as long as you don't lug it constantly, spin the tires, or run it with nothing dragging behind.
