Case 1370 PTO Housing won't come off PLEASE HELP

I have a Case 1370 tractor that I cannot get the PTO housing off of. I believe it has to do with these 'cones' or 'wedges' down where the PTO shield bolts on, but I cannot get them to budge whatsoever. I read a previous post on here where the guy had the same problem, but never saw a solution... Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks

After all the nuts have been removed take a sledge hammer and hit the PTO shield on the top side briskly. After a few hits the wedges will loosen. Remove them and the shield and the rest will come apart easily. Rod.

Thank you so much !!! I got the ol' sledge hammer out last night and after a few hits I was able to get that PTO shield off and then the PTO housing came out very easily. Appears some of the PTO clutch plates may need replaced, hope this fixes it..... Thanks
