When you mount a suicide knob on the steering wheel, what position will you mount it on the wheel? Those fellows who have busted wrists, and broken fingers may want to give the inexperienced ones a chance to answer first.. Hee Hee! Cheers. I rate this at a 2 on the Barley Pop scale

Old 560 and M had them at about 10 o'clock because spent most of the time looking over right shoulder at wind rower, baler, etc.

Haven't had a knuckle buster on the wheel since Dad passed away. Full hydraulic steering is so much better and can roll the wheel with the side of my hand, or better yet is pushing the engage button on the ez steer.

Got mine on the left. Steer and shift with right. Biggest trouble I have is wearing long sleeves and getting it in the open part above the wrist. With hydrostatic steer it moves all the time. Tom

I put mine at 3:00 and use it with my left hand. This works out well while plowing, since I sit canted to the right when plowing, and usually look back over my right shoulder.

Same with me, right handed but liked the knob about 10 o'clock. left hand on knob while I was half turned looking over my right shoulder.

I have to think about this one. On the SC its 2:00. A- John Deere its on the bottom. Oliver 88; 2:00. Deere 630; 4:00. 1086 is hydrostatic so it can be anywhere. I forget where it is on the B Farmall. It kind of depends where a spoke is located.

The knob isn't much of a thumb buster on the Deere A because of the Rolomatic front end. The B Farmall is the worst.

On my 300,s the knob is about 6:00 or 7:00 depending on the amount of play in the system. Use able for straight ahead or looking back and operating the hydraulic levers or what ever.

JD 2 cyl. I am righty, steer with left. Knob at 8:00 so arm on arm rest and hand lines up with knob. Right hand for clutch/shifter. Never had any problems with steering wheel whipping.
