18x26 tires on a 430 case

went to neighbors auction and bought 3 combine tires cheap ,. blowed a tire on the 430 case couple weeks ago and .replaced it with a combine wheel . 8 lugs bolted rite up,, liked it so well , I decided to put a set of 18x 26 wheels on the 430 ,, but the best tire leaked thru the side wall,, I am thinking it will boot ok,.. just wonder if anyone else ever tried that

We did it years ago To our 470 Diesel !Realy made it a lot more tractor !Had them loaded ,they were all most New Tires off a 403 IH Combine .

Back in the 1980 ' s our well worn case 430 diesel had been a former county mowing tractor and had 28 inch turf tires on it. We end up putting the 13.6 x 26 tires and rims off the old Massey 82 combine on there rims and all. Had to put a 2x4 spacer block under the fenders to raise fenders so it looked better.

Those rims bolted right up since our model was a stub hub tractor. Might not have worked had it been a long axle with hub. The downside was the combine rims were not adjustable in any way like the rims that came off were by moving the dish. That said we never had any problems with planting or cultivating 30" rows so they worked well for us. Combine tirss were still on there in the mid 1990's when tractor was sold.
