541 oil light

There's a dash light that says oil on it it is on all the time the oil is at the right level what does it mean

Nick, either a bad sensor or low oil pressure would be my guess. I would look at the sensor first then take it out and screw in a real pressure gauge to see what may be going on
pressure wise.

Do what J Garner said. Then, if the oil gauge doesn't show an adequate pressure, it probably means a worn oil pump or something stopped up. I think John Saeli has rebuild kits for the oil pump.

I took out my amp gage and put in a oil pressure gage.
