Just bought this Case C382388 and the serial tag has a number not found on the list. Steering wheel has been badly welded all four spokes, so i'm looking for a replacement. Also looking for original manuals. This makes Case tractor #7 and hope to stop growing!

Chuck, click on the "Serials Numbers" on the left of the page. S/n from 1929 - 1937 were six digit vice seven on later tractors. Combine the s/n first and 4 digits and subtract 3 = model year. Eggs ample 382388: 33 - 3 = 1930.

should have read combine the first and fourth digit and subtract three.

Thanks joe. i have seen that formula before and still don't understand why someone would do that. your formula should be part of the serial # list that i checked first before asking. Do you know where i might procure a good steering wheel? The magneto is obviously not correct and i have a base mount case mag but don't know if its the correct one. I haven't found a good manual to see what i need. thanks, chuck.
 
Correct mag for a 1930 would be a Robert Bosch. Water pump should have a flat belt drive, and 4 blade fan. Carb. should be a brass Kingston. I should have a steering wheel for you, email is open. SN should be stamped on a raised pad on the block just below the head, just ahead of the gas tank on the right side. NICE LITTLE C!
