A scene from the past.

Spent last weekend helping run this 1915 65 horse Case traction engine at a show last weekend. We sawed lumber, threshed, chopped silage, played on the power eater (load tester) and paraded around. It was neat to be able to use a Case thresher as you don't always see a matched engine and thresher these days. It gives you a greater appreciation to be able to hit the start button and drive off these days when it takes roughly 2 hours to get steam up and move on one of these.

nice pix ....start button and drive away ,, ,, yeah that's nice ,, I used to romanticize about the steam ways ,,. my granpas and great uncles on both sides were masters with the art of steam..BUT I kinda get to relate in the winter monthes.about taking 2 hours to get a head of steam up,,. somedays , in Winter time when a ol DC wont do ,, it takes me that long to get the diesel 4020 deer started ..
