CaseIH885 tie rod adjustment

I had to replace the tie rod on a cih 885 (don't ask). I have it pretty close to adjusted right but how do I get it exact (or nearly so). I've never done this before. Thanks, Phil

take a tape measure and measure a 9 and 3 o lock on the rim(exactly 180 degrees opposite) and adjust until the measurement for both sides come up the same.
 
I agree, except it will probably drive better if the rear measurement is 1/8" greater than the front.
