Things are moving along on the 300. Hope to get the rest of the orange items on the tractor (including wheel weights) soon.

I have 2 questions:

1. I have 2 seat assemblies for the 300 but they are different. One has a slot in it that allows me to put any seat I want on top and the other has a seat that is welded on (factory) Why is this? Is the seat with the slot in it from an earlier model?

2. The seat with the slot in it looks almost brand new but the springs are shot. What do you guys think are they extremely dry rotted or were they burned?

Thanks!

The suspension with the slot allows one to adjust it for the drivers size. Both of our 300 RNs have the adj. seats. The seat has a C rail and a sholder bolt to hold the seat down. There is a small spring loaded pin that you can pull out to adjust fore and aft. My rubber springs look just as crappy as yours and are still working good.
