Oil additive for power shift valve

Does anyone remember where you get the additive you add to the transmission oil to help free up the shift valves? Used 1 gal. to 30 of trans oil. Really worked, can't remember where we got it.
Used it for the Case tractor power shift valves. Really worked well on a problem one.

Thanks for any help,

Ted

sorry don't know of that specific additive ,, but hope someone with case history chimes in ,,. napa has something I used on my 800 case-o-matic ,, it would shift itself out of direct drive when the goin got tuf ,, after a week on the spray rig ,, I noticed the case-o-matic was working like it was supposed to ,musta had a plunger stuk somewhere ,. I have put Lucas tranny slip in my 1070 p-shift as a precaution ,..the problem I noticed was a top gear slippage while lugging ,,a fluid and filter change and the lucas seemed to make a big difference , and in all honesty it was probably a gallon or more low, the fluid looked good coming out ,, no chips or milky oil ..

Ted I have been cleaning CASE power shift control valves for over 40 years and have never seen a valve that a product poured out of a can would clean. The valves need to be taken apart and carefully brushed and cleaned. They pilot spools get sticky because of minute pieces of metal getting embedded in the bores causing the spools to score and stick. Rod.

1370 has it right and damage from foreign material is most always from inadequate filter change intervals or faulty changes of filters either by intervals or leaving the filter bypass valve in the old filter and allowing unfiltered oil to go directly to the valve.

I cringe when I read of the honing of the bores or polishing the valve piston by turning it with an electric drill with sandpaper. The sharp edges of the spool are designed to wipe the bores as they move and a rounded edge allows the material a chance to get under the edge.

Nothing you can pour out of a bottle corrects the problem.
