Well, everything is working just like it should now! The problem was the switch. The switch I bought was some sort of knock-off reproduction. Light switch functions were the same as the original but it didn't have the horn function built into it. I didn't want to spend the extra money just to have the horn which I won't use very much anyway, so figured I could live without it. Looking online again last week, I found the "proper" switch with the horn function built-in for the same price as the first one I bought. That's a no-brainer, so I bought it figuring I can use the cheap knock-off on some other project down the road. Hooked the newest switch up today and everything works just like I was wanting it to originally!
