VAC-14 Right Water Pump?

The new water pump for my VAC-14 arrived just as I was driving out of the driveway. No time to go out in the shop. I did notice it does not have a flat spot on the circulular mounting surface of that the old one does. I hope it is compatable. Anyone have a similar experience? I got it from this site.

All of the aftermarket ones I have seen and some of the later oem units did not have the flat side. Lee

Also should have mentioned as to your question on the bolt needing sealant, that is a blind hole so no need to worry. Lee
