VAC ---TUF as nails

been using the VAC a lot lately, I just like to hear that governor kik down and GET IT ,,.and after a while of hummin along I always think of Dad and His Uncle Elly Bischoff, who probably knew more about the capabilities of the VAC Case as Anyone that ever ran ....and I get a bit of prayer time for them ,,.. sprayed over 100 acres of beans and corn ,, hay teddin , raking , all around chore tractor ,. ect ../I could have used any tractor to bale hay today .. But I chose the 49 VAC because it Really WANTED to Bale Hay on my hilly fields,,.. LOL ,, so we put 400 or more on the ground til I run out of twine..baler was a nh 273 ,.. and Wild spirited VAC strait piped made the baler think it was hooked to a 830 diesel , governor bouncing with every bale stroke ,. just ponding away singin its song ,, and the VAC was KING for the DAY lol ,. I actually baled most the alfalfa and orchard grass in 2nd and 3rd gear the good baler had no choice but to follow along and get with the program .and I bet {Pop and Uncle Elly were smiling today

They have a strong will, don't they. I rebuilt my dad's '52 vac13 a while back. For a little tractor, it can sure do a lot of work. I pulled a 2 row picker with it once (before it got a rebuild), it worked fine although I knew when the wagon was gettin' full.

You are sure correct, a VAC is a spunky little tractor. And I remember fondly standing behind a NH 273 bought new in 1971 (to replace a worn out model 66) We wore that 273 out too. Now I'm about worn out. LOL Don.

Yeah, we had a neighbor with a 135 massey. He was watching me plow and asked Dad what horse power it was. He couldn't believe it when dad told him it was around 20 hp.
