Saved from Hedgrow duty

Well, I'm not in the hedgerow yet.HeHe. Had a series of 3 heart attacks over the weekend. I thought a adjustment to my BP meds would counteract my high pressure which changed after my cancer treatments stopped. The meds adjustment helped, but were short lived. The Doc. gave me heck and said that it was a rareity for someone to have multipal attacks that severe and walk into an ER. Should have gotten my butt down there on Friday after the first one. I jokeinly told him that I figured he wouldn't be there until Monday morning anyway. I don't think he was ammused. Anyhow, since I was still alive, it brought up some questions, and he spent a lot of time quizing me down about exactly what I was doing before the attacks occured. Normally they would order a stress test, but since my situation was very unique, he forewent the stress test and did a very complete ecocardiogram of my heart and artaries. He found what he was looking for, but it wouldn't be verified without a catherization. They wanted to go into my arm, but couldn't so they went to plan B and in through my groin. They found just what he thought, the artary to my heart was colapsing when I was active and required more blood flow, thus starving my heart for blood. The artary was also starting to leak where it was flexing. Stents should fix the problem.
Had a good night last night and they kicked me out this forenoon.
Thanks for all the well wishes and preyers.
Their muchly appreciated.
I think I will cut down that hedgrow that I was headed for and make firewood out of it. HeHe.

Well if it is any consequence Loren, I had your Barley Pop this evening. I can just imagine that the wifey is watching over you like a Red tail hawk seeking it's next meal. Take it like a man. When a box comes marked Case Parts arrives next week, just put it in the refrigerator ,and do not ask any questions! Best wishes to you and yours. Cheers! Chuck

Loren Sorry to hear of your set back, Best wishes and prayers for you. Will try to call you some time . It's been a long time.

I know one thing Loren, your one tough son of gun, here are two things you know, hard work, and hard work. And if you stumble you get up, and dust yourself off, and guess what,,, go back to work.

Loren do us all a favor, just take it a little easier for a while.

Dan

Very glad they were able to diagnose the issue, and better yet it is fixable. You have a great sense of humor and we look forward to your posts and pictures. Get well soon!!

Loren, So happy to hear things went well. Had that done years ago and the doctor said take it easy so the plug does not come out of the groin. Jerry

Jerry,
Yea, the same here. Still a little tender down there and they told me to be very careful about blowing the plug out. I asked if tipping a barley pop would be OK. Wink. The wifey religated me to snipping green beans after she picks them today, We have been swamped with garden produce for the last week. The wifey has been staying up into the wee hrs caning and freezing. My timing on taking a 3 day vacation in the local resort was very poor.

Glad they found the problem and you got it fixed. 4 years ago I had a heart scan and they found my calcium was way to high. Went to a cardiologist and after stress test and cauterization I had 6 blockages from 50% to 90%. They let me go home over the weekend and had 4 graphs on Monday. Went to sleep at 9:30 and woke up at 9:00 at night with tubes running everywhere. Every thing worked out and I feel good today. I never had any symptons just glad I found it out before it was to late. I would recommend a heart scam for everyone. It saved my life!!!! Dan

ps: I had a friend ask me about the test and he was going to get one after his Stepson's wedding. He died on the way to the rehersal dinner!!

Glad your ok remember, take it easy, just because you feel like you can do something does not mean you are ready to. Give yourself time heal.
Chuck
