VAC14 Case Steering

I have steering problems on a VAC14. I have the front plate off of the worm gear shaft. The front bearing is in multiple pieces. I am wondering about taking it further apart. Is there a possibility of getting the steering out of time? I see two large bolts that looks like they can be removed and the steering shaft and the worm gear be lifted away from the rest of the gear box? Will I get something out of time with this if I lift it out?

There's not much to it. It's kind of a
bear to get it apart though. The bearings
are nla from cnh, I did hear that possibly
the governor bearings for a jd m will fit.
I ended up making a set of boat trailer
wheel bearings fit in dad's.

I think the only thing you can get out of time is your steering knob.
