VAC Easy Ride Seat Bottoms Out Too Easily

I worked on the easy ride seat today. As it's assembled now it easily bottoms out with me on it (220#). This just doesn't seem right.

Question: Should the torsion arms be above the "handle bar" mounting frame? It seems the only way possible. Do any of you have a VAC-14 seat you could post seat suspension pictures of? I did my best to follow the diagram Joe (Wa) posted.

Thanks,
Glenn F.

I've got one in a shed, in my "take to a swap meet pile" that just keeps growing, cuz I never take anything......If you still need a pic later today, I'll dig it out and take a couple for you.

Vet,
If you don't mind, please take pictures from different angles as I'm not sure about anything at this point.

Thank you,
Glenn F.

Maybe these will help a little. This one does have the optional 2 x 4 blocks used when the springs get weak, but everything is still pretty close to the correct position. I can't get to the ones I have rebuilt very easy to get a picture of them. I weigh about 240 and have to set the tension up pretty good to get it to ride right. Lee
