Case VAC single front wheel

Just wondering if anyone had any info on the VAC single front wheel production numbers. I'm not typically a Case man but seems I haven't seen many of these before but I still bought it cause it looked kinda neat. Wondering if its anything special.

They are definatley low production tractors. They are more common out west with a few in the produce growing regions in the east.

I am in western KY and do not know of anymore in my area besides the ones I brought in from out west. I have brought in over 20 single fronts for Case over the years. Some were complete tractors and some just the front ends.

There is not much info available on production numbers.

The early chicken roost style and the late u-joint style are the rarest.
I would guess less than 100 of each of these built. The middle run single fronts are the most common, but I would guess less than a 1000 total of them built.

I have all of the styles of single fronts available for the Flambeau red era. VC,VAC,SC,DC and 400 Roundnose.

The VAC-14 single front appears to be the rarest.

My neighbor has a 52-53 Vac single wheel with eagle hitch for sale. 5-600.00. I've been thinking of trying to arm wrestle him for it. Has new rears and is supposed to run. Dick, OR.

I was under the impression the model number for the single front wheel setup VAC was VAC-11.... I'm I wrong or miss understood something?

They are talking about the earlier VA series - changed in '53(?) - [b:4191aa410f]IF[/b:4191aa410f] I remember correctly!

I have pictures of close up of the front end but unsure of what version it is. I'm guessing the most common style. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet but does need a lot of work and probably a doner tractor. But tractor is all original too.

VAC-14 are wide fronts, this one is a VAC-11 (single front wheel). Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

The numbers VAC-11,12,13, started in mid 1951 when the new improved VAC with u-joint steering came out. The VAC-14 and VAO-15 came out in 1953.

Most of the VAC-14's were wide fronts, but they were available with tricycle and single front wheels. I have the build card for my single front VAC-14 showing it was built with a single front wheel.
