Steering on my 830 wide front is pretty good. Very little play in the steering wheel and no shimmy at road speeds. Toe-in is to spec. Tie rod ends in good shape.
There is one annoyance that I don't know if it's correctable. While planting beans, every time the tires would hit a clod or root ball, it would shimmy a bit and travel right up to the steering wheel. Consequently, the steering wheel is constantly jerking in your hand. I'm at my wits end on what to do. If I changed the toe-in (out of spec) would that help?
