Just finished working a 60 acre field and had no problems with my case 2590 tractor. I was watching the charge pump pressure closely (18-20#) as I recently cleaned the suction screen. When heading home all of sudden the hydraulics and powershift started acting up, noticed I had 0# charge pressure.
Removed charge pump and disassembled, looked OK. Thought the screen was plugged again, removed PTO housing and the differential cavity was clean. I backwashed the screen again just to assure it was clean (got very little trash). Put it all back together and still no charge pump pressure, even has a slight vaccum at the gauge. Could there be a problem with the drive mechanism for the pump, if so how do I check it out? Any help is appreciated!!
