Eng Oil Change Interval

On my 2290 and 2294 ops man recommends changing oil 100 hours and oil and filters at 200 hours. I use OEM filters and case oil. I have a CIH swather
with a 4 cyl cummins that gets the same exact oil and OEM filter as well, but the recommended interval is 250 hours for both oil and filters. My
question is with the advances in oil technology can I safely extend my service interval on these old gals?

I would go with recommended oil change limits.
Some motors just get the oil dirty fast, changing the oil/filter is how you maintain the long life of the engine.

My 2005 dodge ram diesel Cummins engine will have the fresh oil looking black shortly after a scheduled oil and filter change.

I would recommend sending your engine oil in for a test. You would be able to extend the life of the oil based on the information that you get back on the test. It is very cheap insurance. I switched several years ago to synthetic 5-40 on almost all of my case tractors including a 2294, 2394, 4890, 4894, and 2 1070's. The 22 and 23 are out to 250 hours and the 48's are at 200. Each oil change I extend by 25 to 50 hours and now have a historic record for each tractor. I also have a 3594 that we caught a slight bit of water in the crank case due to bad o rings.
