What models are these

My friend is cleaning out a family barn after his mom passed away. He is NOT a tractor person and sent me a couple phone pics asking me what these were. I told him I would eventually drive out (couple hours) and get serial numbers and take a close look as to condition etc. Thanks Ralph

The one inside looks like a number series COM 400B? 600?. Model nr tag may still be in place on the cowling. The outside one looks like a VAC.

The one inside is a 611B. Joe showed you where sn# tag is. The one outside is a VA series. The sn# for it is down on the lower part of dash by steering column.

I beg to correct , the outside one is the earlier V model. See the door over the battery and the air cleaner on the Continental F124 eng . I'm just finishing a resto on a VC .....

Am I correct that the V series was only 1940 and 1941 and later the VA series was produced a long time and lots of tractors? Ralph

That little door I have only seen before on the V from 40 and 41 but I am not well versed on the pre war tractors at all. I think I remember that they were also built with various parts from others like Continental engine etc?

where abouts are they located Ralph? I may be intrested in them if he decides to part with them if they are within driving distance.

Northern Illinois out by Rockford. I will be coordinating their removal or sale to help him out with preparation for the property sale. I wanted to get some basic info from the Case crowd before hand. My 56 Roundnose 310 and 69 580CK are the only Case in my small herd.

He knows nothing about the two Case tractors as his mom re-married a tractor guy later in life and he had them in the barn a long time. She was almost 90.

Ras , you are correct. The VA series also used a Case
engine , The V's used the Continental F124
